Our Purpose

PATRIOTIC:

(a) To Preserve the traditions and to promote the interests of the United States Marine Corps;

(b) To maintain true allegiance to American institutions;

HISTORICAL:

(c) To hold sacred the history and memory of the men who have given their lives to the nation;

(d) To perpetuate the history of the United States Marine Corps and by fitting sets, to observe the anniversaries of historical occasions of particular interest to Marines;

FRATERNAL:

(e) To create a bond of comradeship between the Auxiliary and the Marine Corps League;

(f) To aid voluntarily and to render assistance to all Marines and former Marines as well as to their widows and orphans;

(g) To help decorate the graves of all deceased Marines whenever and wherever possible;

EDUCATIONAL:

(h) To strive for the passage of legislation favorable to the Marine Corps League, Inc.

Facts On The Texoma Unit

The Texoma Unit consist of 36 members to date. We received our Charter on September 1, 1996. Our purpose is to compliment the Marine Corps League with their Community Projects, Toys for Tots Program, and Marine Corps Ball. We work together on projects and help promote and preserve the traditions of the U.S. Marine Corps. Our meetings are held the first Saturday of each month (same time as the Marine Corps League) at 1:00pm at our Detachment and Unit headquarters located at 2355 FM 406,Denison, Texas.

Eligibility

Women marines, former women marines, wives, widows, mothers, grandmothers, granddaughters, stepmothers, sisters, daughters and step- daughters of a marine or of a former marine eligible to belong to the Marine Corps League, Inc. Also, associate members must be sponsored by a current auxiliary member (not less than 16 years of age.)
