Attend the church of your choice. You have most likely heard this phrase a number of times and you may have said it yourself. It conveys several ideas, among them the concept of religious freedom. But what else is implied in this statement? Could it be that in our zeal for freedom of choice we have allowed this freedom to affect our walk with the Lord? After all, God should have a choice in the matter.
In Matthew 16:18 the Lord promised to build His church. He promised to build only one church and the New Testament consistently speaks of only one church. Surely we all want to be a part of His church and with all the religious division we can't help but wonder, are we attending the church of God's choice?
We don't claim to be the only ones sincerely seeking Christ, but we do believe that by following the New Testament, we have found the way which is acceptable to the Lord. You see, it is not enough to just want to be saved, but one must investigate God's word to find that path that leads to eternal bliss. If you are seeking Christ, don't you owe it to yourself to examine your life in the light of God's word to see if you are doing what the Lord wants you to do? If you are not following Christ, don't you think that now is the best time to start living the way God wants you to live?
We hope that you will consider the choices and make the right one.
