Italy: Jubilee Gospel Festival
September 11 - 18, 2000

You are invited by Baptist churches in Italy to join them in an innovative approach to sharing Jesus with their neighbors, friends and family members in the area around the eternal city of Rome. This is the first music festival such as this for International Crusades to coordinate anywhere in the world. There have been previous outreach evangelistic campaigns by IC and several other groups in Italy.  Many events are scheduled for this Jubilee year in Rome.  The organization, Italy for Christ, is acting as a clearinghouse for various efforts and they have a web site at http://www.italyforchrist.it/iwelcome.html.

Five churches in the Rome area have invited Believers of the World who are musicians to come join them for a week of Evangelism and outreach. The churches will have a place near the church for the festival each evening.  You will have many other opportunities each day.  You will be going to a place where the power of the Holy Spirit is needed and where churches are ready for His power to be seen!

You will make a difference! There will be people who will hear the gospel and receive the Lord if you go and that may never hear if you do not go. We must respond while the door to Italy is so very open. The Lord is calling…. Won’t you say yes? The Italians are waiting.... Won’t you go?

Costs

• 100 US$ for planning, hotel, all meals, in-country transportation (additional days for early arrival is $50 per day)
• Airfare is additional (see chart below), based on your departure city
• Passport, incidentals, souvenirs are additional

Important dates

• Monday, September 11 – Musical groups of Believers from all over the world will arrive in Rome and go a charming and comfortable hotel.  Time is available for looking around Rome
• Tuesday, September 12 – There will be planned activities to allow all the groups to understand more about Rome.  Welcoming celebration this evening at a church. Musical groups and pastors will be introduced to their hosts for the week
• Wednesday, September 13-Sunday, September 17 – Musical Jubilee Gospel Festival
  • Outreach events each afternoon
  • Institutional visits
  • Public concerts
  • Home visits
  • Special Musical Gospel Festival in a different church each night
  • Other opportunities known only to the Lord
• Sunday, September 17 – Report & evaluation meeting in one church after last service
• Monday, September 18– Everyone returns to their home city

Each participant is responsible for his own ticketing, but the coordinator may be able to help with getting the best airfare. Early commitment will help get the best ticket price.
