- This was the first real song that I learned
as a kid . At least with midi the tempo is constant. Can't really say that
anything past the first chorus is anything close to what Wilson had in
mind when he got a hold of this song. I am afraid that as the old mind
gets closer to 40 the retention of memories fade exponentially. In general,
the song is not that bad, which contradicts my wife's opinion. You have
got to take into consideration she has had to put up with me reliving my
boyhood and the hours of replay for this 3:30 min song. The last chorus
could have been left out, but what the hell, I could not resist.
