- This is the first song of the first concert for me. It was the summer
of '58 and they were performing at a Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming. Big time
huh. All the adults stayed in there seats while the rest ran into the arena
and sat on the dirt floor. The smell of the concluded rodeo was evident
and physically obvious. I didn't care and the screams from the teenagers
seemed all the more exciting. I was just a kid, had no idea what I was
doing. Kinda strange in retrospect. Not till I saw the song in one of my
old song books did it bring back the memories. Now at the age of 40 I realize
I was at a happening and missed the true enjoyment. The full spectacle
was missed at the age of 7, but I appreciate it 33 years later. I wonders
if things are happening now that I am missing? I guess I will have to wait
till I am 73. Thanks JC. Enjoy!!!!.....
