Welcome to the Hazelton's Home Page.

This home page reflects the interests of the Hazelton family, a couple of fifty-something parents, and three twenty-something children. For genealogical information about the Hazelton family, go to Hazelton Family This site is still under construction. For Hazelton/McCrain family pictures, go to family.

As a family, we have been active for many years in sports, boy scouts, 4-H, and our church, community and school. Our interests range from collecting old radio programs to running 10k's, and from storytelling to surfing the Internet. We hope that some of the links here will lead visitors to interesting information.

Van Alstyne Library

Juanita Hazelton, Director of the Van Alstyne Public Library invites you to visit the library. The Van Alstyne Public Library is located at 117 N. Waco Street in Van Alstyne, Texas. Its modern facilities were made possible through the efforts of an active Friends of the Library group. The Friends group continues to support the Library with both volunteer work and fund raising activities. Their activities make possible the offering of a full spectrum of services and programing, ranging from children's storytimes to computer classes for adults. You can read more about the Van Alstyne Public Library's services and programs.

4H
Something for family togetherness:

4-H: The four Hs in 4-H stand for head, hands, heart, and health. The 4-H program provides opportunities for families to work together to help young people develop useful skills, serve their community, and have fun. You will find more information about 4-H, including a link to the 4-H Calendar of Events, at 4-H.

Boy Scouts

Boy Scouts allows a boy to investigate many interests, learning to be a good citizen and leader as he works and plays with other scouts in outdoor activities. Parents are active as leaders and counselors. More information about scouting is available at BSA.

Old Radio Programs

Something for the Over-the-Hill Gang:

If you grew up in the 50's, you remember listening to the "Lone Ranger", "Sky King", "Sergeant Preston" or "Our Miss Brooks" on the radio. You can still get tapes of some of those programs at Old Time Radio (OTR).

Running

Something for the Young-at-Heart:

If you like to run, check this site for running events throughout the U.S. Running

Star Trek

Star Trek has fascinated a couple of our generations. There are many links to Star Trek on the Internet. A fairly comprehensive link is at WWW Star Trek Page.

Southwest Antiquities

Something for everyone:

If you are a collector or photographer, the Southwest has everything you need. We like to visit the Anasazi cliff dwellings at Mesa Verdi. You can find more information about the Anasazi and other Southwestern sites here.

Churches of Christ

Valley Church of Christ

Our family have been active members of the Church of Christ for many years. Our belief in God and our church involvement have kept our family ties strong. For links to information about the Valley Church of Christ in Gunter, Texas, and other area Churches of Christ and their beliefs and activities, go to the Valley Church of Christ.
