Texas Amateur Radio Repeater Frequency Listings
Amateur Radio Repeaters are used for local communication. A low powered hand held FM radio sends a signal to a repeater site on a tower. Upon receiving the signal, the repeater changes the frequency to its output frequency and then retransmitts the signal with higher power and from its higher location. VHF/UHF communications can range over 50 to 60 miles using this technique.
