Knives

It is probable that most 'points' over 3" in length were actually used as knives. They simply weigh too much to have been used on a dart. (Some may have been used as lance points, thrust, not thrown.) Knives were an essential part of the Native American toolkit, having many uses. It is likely that many of the artifacts shown on this website's other pages are also knives.
