This is one of the most elaborate coronets I have attempted so far. It has nearly 500 rivets and three layers of metal. Unlike the previous coronets, this coronet is not hinged, but is instead a solid band which relies on padding for a better fit. Although faceted stones are period, they were not cut quite the way modern stones are cut. Modern stones are much easier to find and are "close enough" from a distance to pass as near-period stones.
