
Leonard Chief of Police Rex Clark has been Leonard's chief for 3 years. The city he applied for the job in had lost their Chief of Police so He took the opportunity and got the job. He has been a Chief of Police for 14 years. He feels part of what is vital in a leader is fairness, honesty, and compassion. What he says to young people who might want to be a policeman today is you need to have a good education and graduate.
       When asked if he had any idea that he was going to become a leader, or even a police chief, he responded, "My Dad was a policeman." His job in a nutshell is to protect and serve the community by making sure that everyone obeys the laws. Another part of his job is to inspect houses and buildings as they are being built. He says he loves his job, but it has it's down times.
