Stan Barker is the mayor of Leonard, and has been mayor for two years. He has been in this community for twenty-five years. One of the main ingredients in a leader he says, is a little "hard-headedness" or persistence , but not too much. His advice to children who might want to do what he does is to read everything you can about the city government. One thing he does not like about being Mayor is that he can't vote on the city council. He likes his job most of the time, but like all jobs, it has it's downsides.
