Some of our school took a field trip to the Bonham Daily Favorite. The director John Frair demonsrated his camera that he plugged in to his computer and proceded to show us the way pictures were put on the newspaper pages. We now have a copy of the Friday, May 11, 1888 Bonham Daily News. This paper is a reprint. Dr. J. M. Terry gave up his medical study for jounalism and started the Weekly Fannin Favorite. In 1892 he expanded it to the Bonham Daily Favorite. Thus he started the oldest daily newspaper in Fannin County. It's offices were on the 500th block of North Main for 45 years before moving to it's present location. I got my information from a historical marker located right outside the building. The marker was dedicated in 1978.
