Alpha Omega Christian School

Philosophy

We do not adhere to or abide by any one denomination’s rules; however, we do require membership in a Bible believing, Bible based denomination of your choice. As revealed in our Statement of Faith, we believe the Bible is the living, holy, inerrant Word of God. As a result of that belief, we exist to teach our children the tenets of the Holy Book, as well as academics, and thus we require all students and their families to honor the Bible and its eternal truths. The Bible states in Romans 2:11 that God is no respecter of persons; our Creator does not favor any race, color, national or ethnic origin, therefore, we do not favor any race, color, national or ethnic origin. We are a discipleship school, meaning that we exist to train our children to believe and follow the Biblical concepts that we have believed since childhood. We minister to the average student; we do not have the facilities to offer remedial or learning-disabled training.

Computer Literacy

In our information-intensive society, computers are an essential tool for studying, making a living, and communicating with others, which includes spreading the Gospel message. Students have hands-on access to computers as well as varied instruction on keyboarding, word-processing, or spreadsheet concepts. Computer-based reference material is available for students’ use.

Personalized Instruction

The basic instructional approach to learning is individualized learning. This is the process of providing each student with the most appropriate learning task at a given point in time, with a unique set of available resources.

Curriculum

Our students use the LIFEPAC curriculum from Alpha-Omega Publications of Tempe, Arizona. Students in upper grades frequently use the Alpha-Omega Switched On Schoolhouse computer-based curriculum, augmented with Saxon Math. Each student receives instruction in the following subjects:

Student Evaluation

Student progress is evaluated with a combination of Lifepac tests, student maintenance of a Lesson Plan, and annual participation in national standardized tests.

Admissions Process

All prospective students and their parents must understand, sign, and agree to abide by the Alpha-Omega Christian School’s statement of faith. Enrollment applications are accepted on a first-come-first-served basis. Currently registered students have priority when registering for the next year.
