As you can see by looking at the buttons to the left, this site has three separate parts: Family History/Genealogy, Quilting and Wood Carving. Take your pick or visit all three.
Click on any of the buttons to the left. Family History is about our meeting in 1957, our move from Illinois to Texas in 1968 and other events. Celico is about a comune (town) in southern Italy where my father and all four grandparents were from, There is information about my parents, grandparents and others. Ancestors is a simple list of the surnames of the ancestors of Anthony Grisolia. If any of these names appear in your family tree, email me and we can compare notes, especially if your family originated in Celico or other small comunes in the province of Cosenza. The Genealogy tips page has some basic information for anyone new to Italian genealogy and some thoughts on contacting us to comment on any of the genealogy or family history material on this site. Comune di Grisolia is another town in Italy that I have had an obvious interest in for many years. Frostburg is the town in western Maryland that my father and grandmother immigrated to in 1912, and where my grandfather was already living and working as a coal miner. There is information about mining in the area, conditions the Italian immigrants found themselves involved in and the names of a few of the several hundred Italians who settled there. Sample birth Record is the birth record of a relative born in Celico, and is an example of the type of information that is available to people tracing their Italian heritage. Family Photo is a picture of Georgia and I taken on a 1999 visit to Chicago.
The Quilts section has pictures of some of the quilts Georgia has made, and Wood Carving shows some of the carvings I have done.
